CEPTAM has been conducting centralized selection of all DRTC, Admin & Allied Cadre (Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’) in DRDO mandated by DRDO HQ since 2007. CEPTAM strives to attract right talent and explores offbeat ways of reaching out to the prospective employees to widen the talent pool available for recruitment. Keeping in view of the proposition offered by DRDO, CEPTAM focuses on fundamental skills, attitude and aptitude of the candidates to gain insight into candidates’ strengths and fundamental skills and select the candidate with the strongest capability and suitability for the role so that DRDO gets right employee for the right job. CEPTAM has acquired unique experience of handling large volume of candidates quickly and efficiently for recruitment of DRTC as well as Admin & Allied cadre. CEPTAM has evolved its own system and procedure so as to ensure transparency, accountability and fairness at every stage of the process of selection of candidates.
Every year Assessment of DRTC Personnel of DRDO is centrally organized by CEPTAM. It has Limited Flexible Complementary Scheme and Performance is judged on the basis of Interview and APAR Marks, both having equal Weightage. Promotion policy is well defined and results are declared on 31st August every year.
CEPTAM was entrusted with the responsibility of facilitating the implementation of the DRDO Training Policy for DRTC and Admin & Allied personnel in the year 2006 (One Training in 5 years for at least 75% of DRTC personnel). CEPTAM is rolling out training calendar for DRTC and Admin & Allied Cadre of DRDO based on training Needs assessment for DRDO Labs and Establishments.
