Director

Shri RV Hara Prasad Outstanding Scientist and Scientist 'H' has been appointed as Director DLJ on 30 June 2022. Shri RV Hara Prasad obtained his B.E. (Electronics & Communication Engineering) and M.E. (ECE with Spl. Microwave & Radar Engineering) degrees from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He joined Defence Electronics Research Laboratory, Hyderabad in the year 1988 as Scientist – B and worked in the area of Microwave antennas and Radomes for about 15 years and successfully realized multiple variety of EW antennas and radomes for prominent Mission Mode and Technology Demonstration Projects.

In 2003, he was deputed to G-FAST (Group for Forecasting& Analysis of Systems and Technologies – a DRDO Think Tank) at DRDO HQrs for a period of about two and half years and was attached to the office of Scientific Adviser to Raksha Mantri. During this period, he has carried out study & analysis of Signal Intelligence (SIGINT) systems and evolved a Technology road map for Aerospace based SIGINT systems.

He joined back DLRL, Hyderabad in Nov., 2005 and successfully conceptualized and steered several Technology Demonstration and Mission Mode Projects. He served in DLRL, Hyderabad in different capacities of Project Director, Group Director, Additional Director and Associate Director. Under his guidance, Ground based EW systems for Army, Airborne EW Systems for Tri-services and Passive Seekers for Missile application have been executed. He was promoted to the rank of Outstanding Scientist in the year 2018.

He has published and presented several technical papers in national and international journals/symposium. He is fellow – IETE and Member – AOC & ASCI.

He has assumed the charge of Director, Defence Laboratory, Jodhpur on 1st of July, 2022.
