Director

Dr. Alok Jain, Scientist-G took over as Director, Centre for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) on 1st October 2020. He joined DRDO at Solid State Physics Laboratory in 1987 after completing his post-graduation from Delhi University. Later he obtained his Doctorate in Physics from IIT Delhi.

He is having more than thirty years of experience in various projects of SSPL. He was heading the optoelectronics division and worked extensively for the development of devices like GaAs and GaN based laser diodes, third generation image intensifier tubes for night vision devices, porous silicon etc., specializing in III-V semiconductor device processing and fabrication. In addition, he also led the Infrared Detectors (IR) and Human Resource (HR) divisions at SSPL.

He is recipient of DRDO Technology Award for "Development of facet coating and passivation process of laser diodes" in 2006. He was also bestowed with Scientist of the year award in 2018 for steering the High Power Laser Diode Activity in SSPL. He has several papers to his credit in National and International Journals, Conferences and Workshops.

At CEPTAM this year (2020), he led the DRTC Assessment Process which was conducted online through Video Conferencing for the first time.
