DRDO is placed in Second Schedule of RTI Act, 2005 and is exempt from disclosure of information under Section 24(1) except information pertaining to the allegations of corruption and human rights violations.
 
"Kindly note that DRDO being an organization  placed in Schedule II of RTI Act has been granted an exemption by DOP&T from receiving & replying online applications, hence DRDO does not entertain RTI Applications/Appeals through e-mail/ any other electronic media and a Hard copy of the same is mandatorily required to be submitted".
 

During the Period 2024-2025:

  1. No. of RTI Applications received and disposed are 491 and 472 respectively.
  2. No. of RTI First Appeals received and Order issued are 68 and 65 respectively.
  3. No. of RTI Second Appeals received and disposed are 17.
  4. No. of questions asked in the Parliament and replies given are 178 and 129 respectively.

"Third Party Audit of DRDO for the year 2023-2024 was carried out by DIAT, Pune in June 2024. Total marks obtained 99.9%"
