LAKSHYA-2

Advanced Pilot less Target Aircraft - Lakshya-2 is an advanced version of Lakshya-1. It is a target for weapon systems like radar guided and heat seeking Surface to Air missiles, Air to Air missiles. It has a Scoring systems capable of calculating the miss distance of the weapon accurately. This advanced PTA has enhanced endurance, autonomous and low level flight capability, salvo flying and automated  test  equipment.  It  has  Integrated  digital  flight control processor, Autonomous flight capability, Low level flight, Passive RCS augmentation of Lakshya in front and side aspects for firing of Beyond Visual Range (BVR) missiles, Augmentation of Lakshya air vehicle with active repeater system for firing of BVR missiles,  capability  to  fly  two  air  vehicles  simultaneously  from single GCS, Automated test equipment and Improved visual augmentation on tow body. Transfer of Technology has been given to L&T.  Lakshya weapon delivery configuration is also developed for weapon delivery at known Coordinates. The tow bodies in Lakshya-2 weapon delivery configuration carry High Energy Weapon Payload. Ballistic, unguided weapon delivery is achieved using Continuously Computed Release Point (CCRP). 9 Lakshya weapon delivery sorties have been completed with 16 weapons (4 Live) dropped.
