Advanced Technology Centres

DFTM’s important charter is to establish Advanced Technology Centres/Centre of Excellences (CoE) at premier institutes and Universities in the country to facilitate Directed Research through academia in the fields of identified defence related areas to pursue research both in cutting edge technologies & in the areas of denied technologies.

The major aim of establishing such centres is to harness & synergize the combined strength of academia, student community, research fellows, niche technology industries & DRDO scientists to provide impetus to research & innovations, in order to achieve future defence needs. These Centres will be conducting Directed Scientific and Technology (S&T) based research in the advanced areas of technologies with multi-institutional collaboration for defence & security and achieve recognition as one of the best research centre in world within a decade.
