Director

Shri. Ramakrishnan Ragavan, Sc ‘E’, assumed the charge of Director of DYSL-SM, Hyderabad with effect from April 2019. He completed his B.Tech in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from NIT Trichy in 2006 and M.Tech from IIT Chennai in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering in 2009. Subsequently, he has completed his PhD from Metallurgical and Materials Engineering department of IIT Chennai in 2021.

Prior to his appointment as Director, DYSL-SM, he served in DMRL from 2009 to 2019, where he was working in the areas of Molecular dynamics simulations and Thermodynamic/Kinetic studies. Some of his notable work is the development of new nickel based superalloy for turbine disc using thermodynamic calculations and solidification simulation studies in Ni alloys at atomic scale.
