CEMILAC gives airworthiness certification to Indian Military Airborne Platforms which includes Aircraft, Helicopters, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Aerostats and Air Launched Weapons. The systems/components/materials which are externally or internally mounted on the airborne platform need to evaluated by CEMILAC for airworthinessandcompliance with the user requirements, performance, reliability and life. On completion of airworthiness evaluation, CEMILAC issues Type Certificates for the Air Systems, and Type Approval for Airborne Stores. The certification process is carried out in accordance with the regulatory document, DDPMAS Version 1.0 (Framework and IMTAR-21).
