Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification (CEMILAC), is a regulatory body under DRDO, vested with the responsibility of Airworthiness certification of military Aircraft, Helicopter, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Aero-engines, Air launched weapons and other Airborne stores. The Airworthiness function is implemented through the eighteen Regional Centres of Military Airworthiness (RCMAs), located across India, and CEMILAC acts as the corporate headquarters. CEMILAC, along with RCMAs having specific core competence, carries out airworthiness certification of military airborne products designed and developed by DRDO laboratories, Other Government agencies, Ordnance factories, Defence Public Sector Units and Private Industries. The Airworthiness Assurance of CEMILAC cover the whole spectrum of activities in Indian Military Aviation such as ab-initio design, continued airworthiness, production support and certification of systems developed indigenously as well as abroad.
