Areas of Work


The Directorate of Personnel is mandated to manage the administrative affairs of DRDO employees. The functional domain of DoP encompasses a wide arena of activities ranging from post recruitment processes like ad-hoc appointments, regularization and confirmation; managing employee mobility; monitoring career progression by managing APARs of all DRDS employees and chalking eligibility criteria for assessments and conduction of DPCs; facilitating candidates to peruse higher education and expand their academic profiles; ensuring employee wellbeing by providing medical reimbursements and processing other related procedures; provide administrative support in issue of NOC and likes; strengthening legal footing of the department by tendering legal expertise and ensuring organizational decorum through management of disciplinary cases; a harmonious working environment is ensured by addressing the employee issues onboard through JCM meetings; the employee motivation is also achieved by co-coordinating the activities related to conferring awards to the employees; inception of Office automation endeavors at Directorate and prioritizing e-governance institutions of Govt of India like AEBAS, ANUBHAV, CPGRAMS etc.

Besides the Directorate implements all policies and processes issued from DOP&T and other government agencies.
