  1. To formulate/collate/coordinate/ implement policies relating to :
    • Recruitment & Assessments in DRDO.
    • Training & HR Development.
    • Defence Research & Development Service (DRDS).
    • Defence Research Technical Cadre (DRTC).
    • Administrative/Accounts/Stores services and all other categories.
    • Service Personnel.
    • Departmental Examinations.
    • Research Fellowships in DRDO.

  2. To carry out work relating to manpower planning viz.:
    • Develop methods for cadre dynamics and modeling.
    • Manpower Planning Board (MPB).
    • Authorisation and management of all categories of manpower of DRDO.
    • Process cases for sanction of additional manpower/transport.

  3. Management of Training Budget & Expenditure.

  4. To function as Technical Dte of ITM & DIAT, Deemed University.
