The 7.62 mm Ishapore Self-Loading Rifle (SLR) and its ammunition is a rugged and reliable weapon gave excellent account of itself in the hands of our Jawans in both the 1965 and 1971 wars. So far, more than one million rifles have been produced by our Ordnance Factories.
